Driving InstructorWebsite Design
A website design I am currently working on for a local driving school. The concept was strongly inspired by a conceptual menu design for a future FIFA video game. I have used the menu design to create an easily readable website with a simple navigation for a fast and efficient way for potential pupils to get in contact with the driving instructor.

Thumbs Fight Wars
YouTube Channel Theme

A design for a YouTube gaming channel I created at the request of one of my friends. The logo idea comes from an image I had in my mind when I first heard the name of the channel. Aside from the logo, I also branded the channels thumbnails and headers.

Mr. Blonde'1928' Release Press Pack
This is a small press pack I redesigned for the Ayr-based pop/rock band Mr. Blonde who i’ve posted about before. The design features photography by Hannah Grierson and sports a redesigned logo to match the look and feel of the photos. Overall this project took a couple of hours to complete but i’m happy with the end result.

UWS Radio - A Documentary
Student documentary project

Recently I have finished and uploaded my second full length documentary as part of my course at university. This time we focused on the university’s radio station: UWS Radio. This documentary walks you through what goes on daily at the station, the problems it faces and the ways which it hopes to improve them.

Pokemon SnapNintendo 3DS Remake / Remaster Concept
Made a few months back, I started a small project to recreate some nostalgic scenes from Pokemon Snap. This is just one of the many conceptual screenshots I have made for my reimagining of the game.
Originally released on the Nintendo 64, Pokemon Snap was a major success combining wildlife photography with Pokemon. It had never been done in such a way before. Taking this idea, I though that the format would be perfect for the 3DS. There is already a 3D model of every Pokemon so why not put it to good use? Players could snap their photos by using the built in gyroscope or just the analog pad which could add a layer of realism into the game. New courses could also be added with the extra space on the 3DS cartridge allowing for a much larger and expansive game than the original was.

Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon
Nintendo 3DS Remaster / Remake Concept

Recently i’ve been replaying this old N64 game and it got me wondering why i’ve never heard of anything Goemon-related since then. Even though the original translation of the game is awful, the game itself is charming and a fresh variation on the platforming / adventure genres. If you get the chance, try and find a way to play this game!

It was quite difficult to try and recreate this nostalgic title screen as original resources for the game are very scarce. I had to work with a combination of images from the game itself and of stock images I found on the internet along with a few creations of my own. I’m quite pleased with the way this design as turned out. I think it captures the essence of the original game combined with modern game design.

FINAL FANTASY VIII HD Remaster Concept.

Following the news that some sort of re-release or remaster on FINAL FANTASY VIII will be coming to PC very soon, I decided to rework the concept art for my own remake which you can view here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1hy8MeuKiI

In this rendition I have kept true to the original which can be seen in the second photograph whilst also combining it with some of the concepts I came up with in my remake attempt (picture 3).

Pokémon Snap 3DConcept Design for Nintendo 3DS.
I’ve always liked the idea of a remade Pokémon Snap game for a new generation console. The first game only featured 63 Pokemon to take pictures of, but with there already being 649+ 3D models of every Pokémon ever created for the Pokédex application, I believe that could be implemented to expand this amazing title.
This is only a rough idea of what I think the top screen would look like while in Professor Oak’s lab at the beginning of the game. I have yet to create concept designs for the bottom screen or later on in the game.

This short documentary follows a local Scottish band by the name of Mr. Blonde as they attempt to break into the music industry. The all-female stars Amy, Sarah and Rebecca speak about their origins story, their plans and their ambitions for the future. The documentary follows them through practices and a gig they performed at in November of 2012.

This documentary was filmed as part of a university project based on the word ‘fame’. All persons who appear on screen had agreed to be filmed and all locations used were filmed with prior permission. Please bear in mind this is my first documentary film for university so don’t be too harsh. It would be great if you could reblog this for me. Getting this film out there would greatly benefit not just myself, but everyone who worked on the film and the band itself.

Please check this out. It would mean a lot to me and the band.

FINAL FANTASY VIII Remake - Opening, Start Menu and Load Screen (by sammydabammy)

This is the second version of my FINAL FANTASY VIII remake which I originally made over 4 years ago! As you can tell, everything has had a complete make-over. This time I decided to focus on making a “true” remake and chose specific designs and music which I thought matched the original feel of the game. My video creation skills have vastly improved from the original remake and I hope that the outcome of this video matches that.

Animations and design of the opening, title menu and load screen were all created by myself using a combination of Photoshop and Sony Vegas Pro 9.0.
